Making of laundry storage unit

Finished this project last week, made a unit for a laundry room in a condo. ┬áThe unit had to hold various items including clothes, detergent containers and an ironing board. The space was approximately 23″ wide by 70″ high by 24″ deep, decided to put the unit on castors to allow for easy access to a panel at the back. If you don’t have a lot of space, consider using castors on furniture, makes it a lot easier to move stuff around and makes cleaning a lot easier.

Here’s an earlier photo of the construction, went with spuce plywood for the cabinet and reclaimed mahogany for the face frame.

The shelves are adjustable and I gave a 4″ inch space for an ironing board on the left side.

Here it is after finishing with a red chestnut stain and a few coats of varnish.
