This project involved removing the paint and sanding a non-descript office filing cabinet to give it an “industrial” look.
Here’s the before shot.
Stripping using a chemical remover, messy job.
Followed by a few hours of sanding, used an angle grinder with a sanding pad. The swirl marks give the piece a bit of character. Made new handles to replace the original plastic ones and gave the piece a coat of clear lacquer to stop it from rusting.
And it’s done!
